It's begun! Making sweet potato biscuits out of one of the cook books Joe and Miles got in Philadelphia last month. The recipe is reported to be based on one of Thomas Jefferson's recipe collections. The biscuits are currently in the freezer and I'll hopefully remember to get them out in time to thaw and bake for Thanksgiving Dinner next Thursday.
This is Ed Copeland. We went to his 80th birthday party today at Pappas. Food was first class!
Taking photos at the River Walk
I wish I had a picture of Noah in his scout uniform today. We met up with him and Andrew and Brad at Dad and Ruby's house. Noah was selling popcorn for his scout pack.
Noah, Andrew, and Kailyn stayed with us last night and today. Brad and Kendra went to a Tres Dias-related meeting. The kids and I went to the Children's Festival at the Pavilion. Melody and Brandon and kids met us there, and Nicki, Alyssa, and Kenslea came a little later. Didn't get pictures of Alyssa and Kenslea (except one) because we got split up and never really got back in sync.
I was going to make homemade pizza today for when Noah, Andrew, and Kailyn came over. Then I realized the pizza dough had to stay in the fridge at least overnight. We'll see how it turns out….
Today, November 2, is Nicki's Birthday. Tomorrow is Joe's birthday and Andrew's 6th birthday. We celebrated at Northshore Park. There was love, fun, and joy captured in these photos.
